Job summary

Hawke Search is seeking a Trust Accountant in Kent to join its Private Client team. You will prepare trust accounts, financial statements and tax returns, ensuring HMRC compliance while delivering expert advisory support.

You will manage a portfolio of trust clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and charitable trusts, and collaborate with senior partners and tax specialists for career progression.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or part-qualification with trust accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of trust and estate accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trust and estate accounts, financial statements and tax returns.
• Manage a portfolio of trust clients and ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Advise on trust structures and related tax planning.
• Liaise with solicitors, investment managers and beneficiaries.
• Support partners on complex assignments and client meetings.
• Stay updated with legislation affecting trusts and estates.
