Job summary

Saxton Leigh in London seeks an Operations Officer with Treasury product experience for a six-month fixed-term contract. You will own end-to-end operational flows for Treasury products, including processing, settlement and reconciliations, with exposure to MiFID II and EMIR reporting.

The role offers scope to broaden into related areas and requires 2–3 years' Treasury Operations experience, plus strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Around 2–3 years’ Treasury Operations experience in the UK or another major market.
• Confident communicator; comfortable with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage transaction flows for Treasury products including FX, derivatives, IRS, securities, CDs and bonds — from trade capture and instruction routing through settlement management and custodian reconciliations.
• Booking, processing, settlement, confirmations and reconciliation for Clearing, Loan Administration and Treasury.
• Confirmation matching; identifying breaks and resolving differences with the business and external counterparties.
• Investigating issues such as non-receipt of funds and driving resolution.
• Maintaining static data, including SSIs, security set-up and rate fixes for securities and derivatives.
• Generating and understanding SWIFT MT1xx, MT2xx and MT3xx series messages.
• Supporting and covering MiFID II and EMIR transaction reporting.
• Producing daily, weekly and monthly management information.
• Following, and helping keep current, operational procedures.
• Exposure to custodial services is desirable, including client asset and money segregation, reconciliations and CASS reporting.
• Supporting Operations management on projects, system initiatives and ad-hoc work.
• Working with Head Office teams where required, completing mandatory training, and escalating material risk, conduct and conflict-of-interest events.
