Job summary

Law Debenture is seeking a Finance Cash Management specialist for a 12-month FTC based in Manchester. You will support cashbooks, banking, and reporting with the London-based finance team.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with Sage Intacct or SAP Concur, and a proactive approach to process improvements while maintaining controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in Finance, Cash Management, Treasury or Shared Services.
• Experience with online banking, payments, and transfers.
• Maintaining cashbooks and accurate financial records.
• Understanding financial controls, compliance and approvals.
• Experience with finance/accounting systems and data accuracy.
• Able to investigate discrepancies and escalate appropriately.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct and/or SAP Concur preferred.
• Numeracy, data management and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and inquisitive mindset.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel.
• Ownership of task delivery; proactive problem-solving.
• Able to push back respectfully to manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Update cashbooks daily and process cash in and out using Sage Intacct.
• Set up weekly banking payments as directed by Accounts Payable.
• Review daily banking requirements such as FX deals and transfers.
• Provide daily cash balance reporting across bank accounts.
• Handle exceptional payments with required approvals per DOA.
• Escalate queries to appropriate management as needed.
• Prepare daily NAV for the investment portfolio.
• Minimise suspense postings; coordinate with Finance to resolve in SLA.
• Support ad hoc tasks requested by Group/Technical/Management Accountants.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls.
