Job summary

Pearse Portfolio is partnering with an infrastructure firm to recruit a Treasury Accountant for an initial 12-month contract to strengthen the Finance team. The role owns intercompany accounting and the accounting for a portfolio of external debt facilities with autonomy from day one.

You will work across Finance, Tax and Compliance in a fast-moving, international business, handling large data volumes with high attention to detail and liaising with external parties as a proactive, self-starting

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with 2–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Treasury experience or strong IFRS 9 exposure.
• Excellent attention to detail with large data sets.
• Self-starter who can manage external parties in a fast-paced environment.
• Project-financing experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own intercompany accounting and balances; project manage documentation across Finance, Tax, and Compliance.
• Account for external debt facilities: drawdowns, repayments, interest accruals, debt servicing, and arrangement fees.
• Handle IFRS 9 from a Group perspective; grow into hedge accounting and documentation.
• Ensure compliance of intercompany balances with external debt facilities.
• Account for short-term investments and act as Treasury point of contact for audit.

Pearse Portfolio are supporting an infrastructure firm in looking for a Treasury Accountant to join its Finance team on an initial 12-month contract, supporting a growing and increasingly complex debt and treasury function.

This is a technical, hands-on role owning intercompany accounting and the accounting for a portfolio of external debt facilities. You will work across Finance, Tax, and Compliance in a fast-moving international business, with a high degree of autonomy and real ownership from day one.

What you will do

• Own intercompany accounting and balances, and project manage their documentation across Finance, Tax, and Compliance
• Account for external debt facilities: drawdowns, repayments, interest accruals, debt servicing, and arrangement fees
• Handle the technical aspects of IFRS 9 from a Group perspective, growing into hedge accounting and documentation over time
• Ensure compliance of intercompany balances with external debt facilities
• Account for short-term investments and act as Treasury point of contact for audit

What you will bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or similar) with 2 to 5 years post-qualification experience
• Treasury experience, or strong IFRS 9 exposure from another technical accounting background
• Comfortable handling large volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
• A confident self-starter used to managing external parties in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Project-financing experience an advantage

International business exposure preferred. Immediate or short-notice availability ideal.
