Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Accountant to join the Global Finance team in Crawley on a hybrid basis. You will support the Senior Treasury Accountant in managing accounting for Group companies within the Treasury Back Office and ensure treasury transactions comply with policy.

The role focuses on monthly reporting in Cognos, integration across Business Central and Kyriba, and preparation of statutory notes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in treasury, corporate accounting or cash management.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and finance systems.
• Ability to work independently and strengthen internal controls.

Job description

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to advance your career? Rentokil Initial is seeking a dedicated Treasury Accountant to join our Global Finance team based in Crawley (Hybrid).

In this critical role, you will support our Senior Treasury Accountant in managing all aspects of accounting for our Group companies within the Treasury Back Office. You will ensure that all treasury transactions are reviewed, approved, and compliant with corporate policy, while playing a key role in treasury systems administration and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting into Cognos for Group entities.
• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded across our accounting system (Business Central), Treasury Management System (Kyriba), and reporting systems.
• Prepare statutory reports at half-year and year-end, and assist with notes for the Annual Report and Interim Statements.
• Record monthly mark-to-market valuations of derivatives.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure strict compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal accounting controls.
• Complete monthly reconciliations and evidence of accounting controls, including comprehensive bank reconciliations.
• Monitor compliance with internal treasury policies and ensure trades are submitted to the trade repository.

Analysis & Treasury Operations

• Review and approve static data and treasury transactions within the TMS (Kyriba).
• Prepare detailed slides for the monthly Treasury Committee pack and calculate semi-annual WACC.
• Provide vital Back Office support to the Treasury Front Office teams and administer Group banking portals.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in treasury, corporate accounting, and cash management.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting and practical application of GAAP and IFRS.
• Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient with accounting and finance technology tools, specifically Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Business Central), and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba).
• Working Style: A resourceful, analytical problem-solver who works independently to implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong working relationships with financial leaders and handle highly confidential information.
• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) with relevant accounting experience. An AMCT qualification is highly preferred.
