A charitable organization in Gloucester is looking for a Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees. This role requires advising on financial responsibilities and overseeing the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts. Ideal candidates should have experience in finance and strong communication skills, contributing to a supportive environment focused on early years childcare and education.
PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to early years childcare and education in Gloucestershire.
PATA’s reputation as an excellent source of support and information for children’s groups is built on experience and expertise and we are specialists in the voluntary sector.
PATA, originally Playgroup and Toddler Association, started when community playgroups first began to form. We evolved along with the sector, working collaboratively with many other early years and childcare charities. Today, PATA (UK) remains one of only two of these original organisations and is now a charitable company run by, and for its members. The Board of Trustees is drawn from people with a variety of skills and knowledge from all parts of Gloucestershire.
Like many community settings, PATA is managed by a group of Committee Members (known as our Board of Trustees).
Our Trustees give up their own time and work quietly in the background to keep things running smoothly. This allows us to concentrate on supporting both our Members and our Managed Groups, whilst working towards our charitable aims.
The Board of Trustees are currently recruiting for a new Treasurer to join their friendly team:
"A special someone who can advise on financial responsibilities and oversee the preparation and scrutiny of our annual accounts"
Could you or someone you know be that person? We'd love to hear from you!
