Job summary

Samuel Frank is seeking an Electrical Service Engineer to join a South Yorkshire based specialist team responsible for maintaining and repairing conveyor systems across the UK. The role involves extensive site travel, typically two to three nights away per week, with occasional international travel.

On days at the Sheffield workshop you will contribute to on-site improvements and repairs. The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias, NVQ3 in Electrical Engineering, and 18th Edition.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong electrical fault finding skills.
• Experience with motors, sensors, drives and industrial control systems.
• UK driving licence and willingness to stay away 2–3 nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on conveyors.
• Fault finding on control panels, sensors and drives.
• Diagnose faults and implement permanent solutions.
• Support breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Produce method statements and risk assessments.
• Assist commissioning and upgrades on conveyors.
• Travel throughout the UK with occasional overseas trips.
• On non-site days, work on Sheffield shop floor.
