Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy seeks a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Winchester, New Hampshire. Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology
- Experience in Speech Language Pathology (new graduates encouraged)
- Additional certifications or licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
- Use standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population
- Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices
- Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide a comprehensive patient‑centered approach
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Professionalism and positive attitude when working with diverse personnel
- Fine motor skills for handling equipment and procedures
- Coping with frequent public contact, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working with occasional supervision
- Visual acuity and effective communication capabilities
