  • Contract: Permanent, Full Time
  • Weekly Contractual Hours: 37.5 (8AM to 4.30PM – Monday to Friday)
  • Location: MoD Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, SN15 4PZ

Join our dynamic Base Administration Office team at MOD Lyneham and become the trusted travel expert for Armed Forces personnel. In this pivotal role you will manage and coordinate a wide range of travel arrangements, ensuring smooth journeys for those who serve our nation. You are the central point of contact for all travel needs, using an online booking system and working closely with external agencies, booking companies, and budget holders. This position offers variety, with opportunities to rotate through different responsibilities and gain new skills – full training is provided.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange travel in line with requests using online booking systems.
  • Coordinate with booking companies, budget holders, and customers to secure cost‑effective travel options.
  • Maintain budget-related information and protect personnel data.
  • Perform data input across various online systems.
  • Adhere to Defence policies, Health and Safety regulations, and GDPR.
  • Provide support or cover for other staff during periods of absence.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
  • Highly organised and detail‑driven, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels and build strong working relationships.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to changing needs while remaining calm under pressure.

Additional Information
