Job Title: Travel Administrator

Salary: £24,637.57 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Weekly Contractual Hours: 37.5 (8AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday)

Location: MoD Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, SN15 4PZ

Join our dynamic Base Administration Office team at MOD Lyneham and become the trusted travel expert for Armed Forces personnel. In this pivotal role, you will manage and coordinate a wide range of travel arrangements, ensuring smooth journeys for personnel who serve our nation.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all travel needs, using an online booking system.
  • Work closely with external agencies, booking companies, and budget holders to secure cost‑effective travel options.
  • Arrange travel in line with requests and coordinate with booking companies, budget holders, and customers.
  • Collate and maintain budget‑related information while protecting personnel data.
  • Carry out data input across various online systems.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Defence policies, Health and Safety regulations, and General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Provide additional support or cover for other staff during periods of absence, as directed by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
  • Highly organised with exceptional communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively at all levels.
  • Versatile, intuitive, and professional, demonstrating sound judgement and absolute integrity.
  • Proactive, adaptable, able to respond quickly to changing needs while remaining calm under pressure.

Additional Information
  • MOD Security clearance and DBS Standard is required.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK is required.
