Axcis Education are working closely to support a secondary trauma informed provision for students with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs who for most part have experienced trauma. This nurturing and inclusive school is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team and play a key role in supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.

This is a full time opportunity, starting in January, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The rate of pay will be between £95-£110 a day, depending on previous experience and qualifications. The hours are 8:30-16:00.

About the School

• The school are working to support secondary aged and sixth form students with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
• All students have an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP), and receive close supported and differentiated provision to meet their needs.
• The school has a bespoke curriculum offering, including an outstanding food technology curriculum, Art curriculum, music curriculum and P.E curriculum.
• The school has a very supportive culture, with all staff commenting on the unity and support from colleagues and the leadership team.

• Are resilient as students can present unpredictable behaviours when they become dysregulated.
• Have a passion for supporting students with SEND and who struggle to self-regulate.
• Are patient and have motivation to support students, who are working below their age‑related expectations, with their learning.
