Job summary

Lotus Academy, part of Nexus Multi Academy Trust, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a specialist SEMH provision in north Sheffield. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, on a full-time permanent contract.

You will support pupils aged 6–16 with SEMH needs, delivering personalised learning with trauma-informed approaches. Experience in SEN is advantageous, with a focus on emotional regulation and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEN or SEMH needs is advantageous.
• Ability to respond to emotional, social and mental health needs of pupils.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork qualities.

Responsibilities

• Support whole class lessons, group work and one-to-one with pupils.
• Contribute to a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene needs as required.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and wellbeing.
