Job summary

BCHA is recruiting a Specialist Support Worker for the Liberty Project to work with survivors of modern slavery in Wiltshire. The role offers a unique opportunity to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centred support and help individuals move toward independence and safety.

You will build trusting relationships, work within professional boundaries, and collaborate with partner agencies, contributing to anti-slavery advocacy and recovery pathways.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed, survivor-centred support knowledge.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with survivors.
• Strong communication and safeguarding awareness.
• Experience handling sensitive cases and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly 1-1 sessions with survivors.
• Maintain professional boundaries and use trauma-focused strategies.
• Listen to and build trust with survivors to promote independence.
• Liaise with partner agencies and advocate for survivors.
• Support survivors to move toward safety and independence.
