Job summary

Leicestershire County Council’s Oakfield Short Stay School is seeking a creative, trauma-informed practitioner to support pupils who struggle to engage with mainstream education. You will work with the Behaviour, Attendance, Pastoral and Belonging Lead to provide targeted interventions and to raise attendance and attainment.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in education or a related field.
• Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs.
• Experience of improving attendance and removing barriers to education.
• Proficient ICT for routine school tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, delivery and evaluation of pupil interventions.
• Run programmes to support reintegration and confidence.
• Collaborate with staff and external agencies to set targets.
