The post is a unique and exciting opportunity and is aimed at prospective candidates who have completed the Foundation programme and/or those who are preparing to apply for specialist training programmes.
The aim is to provide a broad‑based orthopaedic training at a level higher than Foundation with special focus on areas of interest that the appointee would wish to develop in their professional skills and profile to prepare themselves for and be competitive to apply for speciality programmes.
The post will be based predominantly at the Aintree University site, our trauma site, and Broadgreen Hospital, our state‑of‑the‑art elective centre.
Consultants are involved in educational roles that pride themselves on training the next generation of surgeons, providing supportive supervision for trainees.
