Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor for the NHS Supply Chain contract in Maidstone. You will manage the late shift (14:00–22:00) Monday–Thursday and 11:00–19:00 on Fridays, ensuring compliance, cost control and service excellence.

You will lead a transport team, monitor tachographs and drivers’ hours, and uphold SOPs and OTIF delivery standards while driving improvements and promoting a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in transport.
• Experience operating with agency providers and carriers.
• International CPC holder (preferable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee late shift operations, ensuring audit compliance for tachographs and drivers’ hours.
• Manage cost and service in line with KPIs and OTIF measures.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and company policies.
• Lead and supervise the transport team to maintain high performance.
• Support continuous improvement within the site operations.

Here at GXO, we are currently looking for a proactive and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our NHS Supply Chain contract based in Maidstone. You’ll take charge of our late shift operations, ensuring compliance, cost control, and exceptional service delivery.

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll be working Monday to Thursday, covering the hours of 14:00 till 22:00 and Friday, covering the hours of 11:00 till 19:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Full responsibility for keeping your team in line with Audit Compliance relating to the site’s Tacho and Drivers Hours compliance
• Manage cost and service in line with agreed Key Performance Indicators
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in line with OTIF measures
• Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Communicate, apply and enforce company policies

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Legal compliance i.e. understanding of legislative regulations and / or standards
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in transport
• Experience operating with Agency providers and Carriers
• International CPC holder (preferable)
