Job description

Staffline is recruiting for a Transport Team Manager to join our client's Distribution Centre in Emerald Park, Bristol.

Shift pattern: Any 5 from 7-22:00 to 06:00.

PAYE pay rates for the first 12 weeks are as follows:

• Monday to Friday: £16.01 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday: £19.13 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager with the responsibility for a team of Transport Clerks & Drivers.
• Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
• Ensuring the operation achieves targeted daily and weekly KPI's through effective use of the customer's computerised Integrated Transport Management System.
• Ensuring the department provides a quality first class service to the customer and stores.
• Ensuring the department operates within the legal constraints of the site operator's licence.
• Ensuring the operation is fully compliant with legislation.

• Experience of working within a transport environment.
• Experience in a Unionised Environment (an advantage).
• Knowledge of computerised scheduling and driver management packages (an advantage).
• Knowledge and understanding of transport driver targets and transport legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team management.
• Succeds in building effective stakeholder relationships with the ability to influence management team's thinking to deliver high performance through a culture of accountability and ownership.
