Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Team Manager to join our team based in Stafford. Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts; 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 -22:00 / 08:00 - 16:00

Responsibilities
  • Lead up to 100 drivers and administrators.
  • Run cost‑effective daily transport plans.
  • Oversee vehicle defects, repairs and produce consistent vehicle reporting.
  • Ensure Health & Safety measures meet high standards for all employees on shift.
  • Monitor TUPs, manage compliance, general administration duties in line with transport legislation, company policy.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions, investigations, behavioral audits and absence management.
  • Maintain strong customer/client engagement, liaise with team and senior management to ensure smooth service and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Prior management experience in transport (pre‑existing management experience advantageous).
  • Transport knowledge, CPC (National and International) preferred.
  • Organised, hard‑working, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communicator with strong working relationships at all levels, confident in customer interaction.
  • Ability to think on your feet in a fast‑paced environment, PC literate.
