Job summary

Blueleaf is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Transport team at the Crawley distribution centre in West Sussex. You will supervise daily transport operations and our Delivery Drivers, ensuring safe, efficient deliveries that meet customer requirements.

The role is full-time, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with typical hours 7:00am to 4:00pm. You will report to the Transport Manager and help lead a driver team while maintaining compliance with health and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in a similar transport/logistics environment.
• Proven team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience working with drivers and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Familiarity with transport or logistics software.
• Positive, proactive and dependable approach.
• Good communication and people skills; ability to support and challenge colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Proactively supervise and support the Transport Team Leader, Transport Planner and driver team.
• Encourage excellent customer service and a right-first-time approach.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Maintain driver and vehicle resource to meet operational needs.
• Oversee day-to-day duties of the Transport Team Leader and Route Planner.
• Adjust daily transport plans and support the Transport Manager in meeting targets.
• Complete driver debriefs and address performance or welfare concerns.
• Support driver induction, training and development.
• Provide operational cover outside normal hours when required.
