Here at GXO, we are looking for a Transport Supervisor to lead our team in Dordon, Tamworth. Reporting into the Transport Manager, you will be engaging with drivers and suppliers, ensuring customer KPI's are met, all vehicles are operated within legal parameters and drivers are managed within compliance.

This is a permanent full‑time role working Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:00 however flexibility is required – this is logistics after all!

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £33,015.84 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Track daily deliveries using the vehicle tracking systems, liaising with core and agency drivers daily
  • Liaise with maintenance providers and deal with vehicle and trailer breakdowns
  • Provide customers with feedback on any queries
  • Plan driver resources, ensuring the next day’s plan is legal and achievable, dealing with all driver tachograph infringements
  • Complete accident/incident investigations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance planning and legal requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience developing relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of cost control and working within budget, reporting and managing cost variances
  • Knowledge of drivers' hours and working time directive rules
