Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the transport team, ensuring alignment with operational goals and service excellence standards.
  • Own the day-to-day transport operations, dispatch, debriefs, and workflow management, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
  • Act as the primary liaison with key customers, ensuring seamless communication and fostering strong, professional relationships.
  • Lead driver debriefs with clarity and confidence, fostering open communication and team alignment.
  • Maximise fleet and staff performance through smart planning and strategic decision‑making.
  • Keep the Transport Manager informed with regular updates, sharing insights and ideas to boost service and efficiency.
  • Champion safety by monitoring and auditing standards, creating a secure environment for everyone.
  • Act as a go‑to contact for queries, whether by email, phone, or face‑to‑face delivering solutions with confidence.
  • Support KPI reporting and daily operational stats to track progress and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance is always on point by helping plan and maintain adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Step in during vehicle breakdowns to minimise disruption and keep operations moving.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative culture where teamwork thrives and colleagues feel supported.
Requirements:
