Transport Supervisor

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm*
Flexibility required during peak periods - early starts/late finishes may be necessary. On-call one week in four to cover evenings and weekends.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Transport Supervisor to join our busy operation based in Pinxton. You'll play a key role in ensuring our transport department runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with legal and company standards. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where no two days are the same - plans can change in an instant, so you'll need to think on your feet, stay calm under pressure, and keep things moving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Manage and support drivers, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance, defects, and scheduling.
  • Plan and allocate routes effectively to meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues quickly.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 4) to provide out-of-hours support.
About You
  • CPC qualified (essential).
  • Proven experience in a transport supervisory or similar role.
  • Confident, personable, and approachable - a natural leader.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Committed and reliable, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
