Overview

GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven Transport Supervisor to join us on at our Doncaster site. In this role you'll ensure all shift activities are co-ordinated with daily & weekly tasks achieved, making best use of available resources, through the effective motivation and leadership of colleagues to continually improve performance levels and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient running of the operation and drive operational performance through development of site systems and operational processes.
• Proactively motivate the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
• Ensure the operation achieves targeted daily and weekly KPIs through effective use of the planning/scheduling information available.
• Ensure the department operates within the legal constraints of the site’s operators licence.
• Ensure the operation complies with the Road Traffic Act.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working in a transport environment with a focus on operations, covering transport and warehouse.
• Knowledge of computerised scheduling and driver management (FTA) – an advantage.
• Understanding of transport driver targets.
• Experience working within a unionised environment – would be advantageous.

Work Hours

This is a full time, permanent position where you'll be working Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm.
