Loom Talent Limited are working with a leading logistics provider in the Midlands that are looking to add a talented and proactive Transport Shift Manager 4 on 4 off (Night Shift) to their growing team. Key Responsibilities

• People-Centric Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of circa x100 colleagues to reach their full potential through direct managerial reports, focusing on the well-being and development of staff with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the Transport distribution arm of the business, with accident reduction through continued training and assessment.
• Performance Metrics: Evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, ensuring site standardisation. Manage the daily activity of the fleet policy and transport staff in line with legal requirements, company policy and procedures, quality standards and within budget, while ensuring an effective service is provided to the customer.
• Performance Management: Manage under/over performance, leading probation reviews, return-to-works, PDPs, Annual Reviews and Disciplinary processes.
• TMS Expertise: Utilise experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Business Systems to drive operational efficiency.
• Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the seamless flow of goods from the warehouse to the end customer.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background – Essential.
• Transport Management CPC – Essential.
• Experience in FMCG environment – Advantageous.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience at a Transport Shift Manager / Transport Shift Operations Manager level – Essential.
• Experience managing teams beyond 100+ employees/drivers through direct managerial reports – Essential.
• Exceptional people management and leadership skills – Essential.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Methodology – Advantageous.
• Working knowledge of TMS systems – Essential.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities – Essential.
• Commutable to Coventry for 5 days per week – Essential.
