Job summary

Surecall Recruitment is sourcing a Transport First Line Manager based in Greenford, West London. The role oversees daily distribution operations on a 37.5-hour weekly rota, including weekends, to uphold premium brand standards and timely deliveries.

You will lead a large team of drivers, ensure legal compliance, and optimize dispatch through TMS systems, with a clear pathway from temp-to-perm and opportunities for progression within a leading retail logistics network.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leader experience in high-volume transport.
• Ability to work 37.5 hours weekly across early morning, day, and late afternoon shifts.
• Strong people management and leadership under operational pressure.
• Solid knowledge of transport legislation and driver hours regulations.
• Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch and driver allocations to meet delivery windows and premium standards.
• Ensure compliance with UK transport laws, tachograph rules and safety procedures.
• Lead daily shift briefings, manage attendance and motivate drivers and transport staff.
• Act as first line of escalation for real-time delivery issues to protect customer satisfaction.
• Monitor KPI metrics, fuel efficiency, and fleet asset integrity.
