Our client is a civil and structural engineering team of specialists who are looking for an enthusiastic Transport Planner/Engineer to join their London based civil and infrastructure engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in transportation planning to take a strategic role within their growing transportation team in London, which is part of their civil engineering department.

The role

• You will reinforce the excellent reputation the team currently enjoys, while working with our Transport Team Leader to shape its future growth and direction bringing your own experience, ideas and perspectives.
• You will lead and manage a range of specialised transportation planning and engineering projects with autonomy and independent judgment. You will oversee technical teams with project delivery including technical report writing, transportation assessments, master planning, and traffic and transport planning studies.
• You will be the senior point of contact with our clients, design teams and third parties.
• As a member of our civil engineering team, you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills in the design of roads and other civil engineering works.

What you need to succeed

• Ability and desire to continue to learn and take advantage of opportunities for professional development.
• Experience in Junction and/or roundabout design.
• Capable of representing the company at design team meetings and meetings with the local authority and/or statutory authorities.
• Experience of supporting Business Development campaigns targeting new clients.
• Proficiency with transportation and traffic analysis software (Arcady, Picady, Linsig, TRICS).
• Proficiency in GIS software.
• Experience in civil engineering design is desirable but not essential.
• 5+ years relevant experience in transportation planning/engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
