A consultancy in transport planning is seeking a Transport Planning Consultant/Assistant Consultant to join the Business Case Advisory team. The role involves providing analytical and project management expertise to develop compelling business cases for transport investments throughout the UK. Successful candidates will have strong communications skills and a passion for solving transport challenges to make a positive impact.

We are seeking to recruit aConsultantorAssistant Consultantto join the Business Case Advisory team within our Mobility Planning division. The team is virtual, although it is desirable that you would be able to spend time in an office in which we have a Business Case Advisory team presence(Cambridge, Exeter or London).

Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in teams and clearly present information
Intellectual curiosity to understand and apply funding bodies’ busines s case guidance (Green Book, DfT, Transport Scotland) and associated appraisal requirements
Confidence to take on responsibility and ownership of tasks, as well as being comfortable to seek guidance and advice when required
Experience in being able to work flexibly, on multiple projects at a time and to meet competing deadlines
Recognition of the commercial environment we work in and the requirement to deliver against quality, time and budget
