Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner - Transport South

We are seeking a full-time Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner for our Transport South Team based in Bristol

We offer a challenging and rewarding career working for a leading consultancy with a strong presence in London and the south of England. You will join a growing and established team delivering a wide variety of interesting projects for clients in the private and public sectors.

Responsibilities

Our clients typically include housing and commercial developers, local authorities, highway authorities, architects, town‑planners and other professionals.

Your work will include development related transport planning and will include preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, transport chapters for environmental impact assessment, and other development related transport reports. You will also prepare transport studies for our public sector clients. You will undertake site visits and attend meetings as required. The role will also involve some client liaison, such as attending meeting. Full support will be provided on a day-to-day basis by an experienced transport planning professional.

Requirements
  • Experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other transport related documents required in support of planning applications
  • Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data.
  • Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design.
  • An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
  • An understanding of the UK planning process and how your work fits into that.
