  • Experienced in transport planning, ideally with PTV Route Optimiser.
  • Confident in using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of multi-temperature delivery vehicles and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and ability to plan routes cost-effectively.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player with clear communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily deliveries using route optimization tools.
  • Liaise with drivers and customer service teams to ensure delivery performance.
  • De-brief drivers and review delivery reports regularly.
  • Prepare and maintain key operational reports.
  • Maximize route efficiency and minimize failed deliveries through effective planning.
  • Manage delivery and collection bookings for internal and third-party fleets.
  • Coordinate with third-party hauliers where required.
  • Ensure credit stop lists are cleared and daily reporting completed.
  • Escalate and resolve any service or fleet issues promptly.

Role:

We’re looking for a proactive Transport Planner to take ownership of planning and coordinating the fleet, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable deliveries across the network.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Plan and schedule daily deliveries using route optimization tools.
  • Liaise with drivers and customer service teams to ensure delivery performance.
  • De‑brief drivers and review delivery reports regularly.
  • Prepare and maintain key operational reports – COD, failed deliveries, temperature, KPI’s, and other spreadsheets.
  • Maximize route efficiency and minimize failed deliveries through effective planning.
  • Manage delivery and collection bookings for internal and third‑party fleets.
  • Coordinate with third‑party hauliers where required.
  • Ensure credit stop lists are cleared and daily reporting completed.
  • Escalate and resolve any service or fleet issues promptly.
About You:
