Job summary

Hannon Transport Limited is seeking a Transport Planner to coordinate and optimise daily transport movements from Aghalee with travel to other sites as required. The role focuses on planning, scheduling and monitoring to ensure on-time deliveries and safe operations.

You will work closely with depots and customer service to resolve issues, while maintaining accurate records and complying with drivers' hours requirements. A proactive, detail-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning, logistics, or operational coordination.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule collections and deliveries in line with customer requirements, capacity and delivery times.
• Allocate drivers, vehicles and trailers, considering routes, availability and constraints.
• Review upcoming work to identify capacity gaps or conflicts before plans are confirmed.
• Monitor movements and respond to delays or disruptions throughout the day.
• Coordinate with depots, warehouses and customer service to keep work moving.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours and company procedures; maintain records.
