Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport planning or resource planning role.
• Strong geographical knowledge and route planning capability.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using TachoMaster and Paragon systems is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage daily transport resource plans to meet customer requirements.
• Allocate drivers, vehicles and trailers to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor transport operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain service levels.
• Manage driver availability, annual leave and agency requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Support transport administration, compliance activities and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with procedures and legislation.
