Transport Planner - The Role:

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising transportation strategies and schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective, and sustainable movement of goods or people.

Transport Planner - Key Responsibilities:

• Administration of lorry tachographs, vehicle insurance updates, tax changes, and OCRS score monitoring
• Purchase order processing, invoice authorisation, and liaison with company insurers
• Monitoring machinery and vehicle hours; arranging services, repairs, MOTs, oil samples, and maintaining all related reports and rectification records
• Handling skip and RoRo bookings via calls and emails; ensuring delivery documentation and vehicle checks (inside/out, Sat Nav, height measuring) are completed with photos
• Conducting quarterly driving licence checks and supporting general fleet compliance

Transport Planner - You:

• Previous experience in transport planning, fleet administration, or logistics coordination is preferred
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident communicator via phone and email
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive, solution-focused approach to logistics and compliance
