Overview

We\'re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our growing infrastructure team. You\'ll play a key role in shaping sustainable transport solutions, improving mobility, and supporting strategic development across the region. Our client is a key Haulier and has a high volume of HGV\'s with shipping containers on the move constantly. They operate a 24/7 planning solution, which means the role never stops.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and assess transport strategies, policies, and plans
  • Conduct traffic modelling and data analysis using industry-standard tools
  • Collaborate with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders
  • Prepare transport assessments, travel plans, and feasibility studies
  • Be able to plan and put the best route in place and also work with road traffic alerts in order to do re-routes throughout the shift
  • Promote sustainable transport initiatives and active travel schemes
What We\'re Looking For
  • Knowledge of Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field
  • Experience with transport modelling software (e.g., SATURN, VISUM, or ArcGIS) not essential, added benefit
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of UK transport policy and planning frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Our client is looking for someone to secure this opportunity, 55 hours per week - based on working regular nights, commencing between (Apply online only) hours.
