Personnel Solutions are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our client's logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong management, organisational, and communication skills to contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain operations. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with a passion for logistics.

Hours -

Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm

1 in 3 Saturdays 7am-12pm

£28,600pa

Over 40 hours paid at x1.5

Good knowledge of Sheffield and surrounding areas is extremely advantageous for route planning

Duties
  • Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements.
  • Analyse data to determine optimal transport routes and schedules.
  • Coordinate with drivers, clients, and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities using computerised systems.
  • Provide clerical support including data entry and administrative tasks as required.
  • Manage communications effectively through phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
  • Prepare data reports for clients.
Requirements
  • Good computer skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with data entry and clerical duties in an office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.
