Our client are seeking an experienced and skilled Transport Planner. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising transportation operations. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.
Transport Planner - Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient transportation plans to minimise costs and maximise resource utilisation.
- Analyse data and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for route optimisation.
- Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams, to align transportation plans with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and third‑party logistics providers to ensure seamless execution of transportation plans.
- Stay informed about transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Ensure that transportation plans comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Transport Planner - Requirements
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner.
- In‑depth knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices.
- Experience and knowledge of the Pallet Network is preferable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Transport Planner - Remunerations
- Salary 30,000‑33,000
- Standard holiday + Bank holidays
- Monday to Friday, alternating weeks – 1st week 06:30‑15:30 / 2nd week 10:15‑19:15.
- Saturday AM shift requires once in 8 weeks. (Supplement pay included)
