Overview

Highly successful, niche business is currently seeking a Transport Operations / Route Planning Manager for the Vehicles Depot in Wrexham. Great opportunity to join a well established and continually expanding business within a fantastic industry. Excellent package on offer.

Responsibilities

• Managing and improving overall operational performance of the site, with a focus on route efficiency and planning (multi-drop routes).
• Direct line management of approximately 60 staff and a fleet of 25 vehicles, including route officers, to ensure routes are planned and sequenced in advance, in collaboration with the Depot Manager.
• Optimising route efficiency and ensuring collections are made from all customers.
• Manning the trucks with drivers and loaders and planning around holidays with agency staff as required.
• Working with the Depot Manager; as Operations Manager you will need to be aware of all activity on site including opening and closing.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics / operations management and route planning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and Microsoft skills.
• Ability to work in a team, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and maintain a flexible approach.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings, training and site visits is essential.

Benefits and notes
