A logistics company in Nottinghamshire seeks an experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day transport operations and manage a fleet. The ideal candidate must have CPC qualification and strong planning and communication skills. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of up to £38,000 per annum and operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transport management.
  • Transport Management CPC qualification.
  • Strong understanding of driver hours, tachograph infringements, WTD.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence managing a busy fleet and leading a team of drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day transport operations for a large fleet of HGVs and rigid trucks.
  • Plan and coordinate UK & European routes, ensuring efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage driver hours, tachograph infringements and WTD compliance.
  • Liaise with clients and drivers to ensure smooth delivery schedules.
  • Maintain vehicle and driver records, ensuring all documentation meets legal and company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across transport operations.

Seeking an experienced, CPC qualified Transport Operations Manager with a passion for logistics and planning to join a high‑performing, fast‑moving logistics company in the Nottinghamshire area. Job type: Permanent. Hours: Monday‑Friday 9:00‑18:00.
