Job summary

Tesco Distribution Centre Hinckley is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to lead a team of colleagues, ensuring safe, legal, and efficient transport services that support store availability and high product standards.

You will analyse data, establish root causes, and implement corrective actions, deliver the transport improvement plan, manage shift resources, and coach staff to work productively while keeping customers at the heart of what we do.

Qualifications

• IAbility to analyse data and establish root causes.
• Experience leading teams to deliver safe, legal operations.
• Strong collaboration with colleagues across the distribution centre.

Responsibilities

• Analysing data and information, establishing root cause and putting in place corrective improvement measures.
• Delivering exceptional operating standards and ways of working across all areas in my shift.
• Using the Transport systems to fully realise our operating routines and associated efficiencies.
• Deliver the Transport improvement plan and build capability where it is needed most.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport operation efficiency and performance while coaching the team to deliver them.
• Deliver all Transport plans, KPI’s and resources to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements on all KPIs.
• Champion change and share ideas to deliver results.
• Lead resource planning activities so that all hours are worked when and where needed.
• Meet the needs of colleagues through strong leadership and people routines.
