Overview

Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a large and growing logistics company who are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team based in Newark. The right candidate must be happy to travel across all sites as and when it is needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all transport activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement efficient transportation strategies that align with supply chain objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of transport operations, including schedules, routes, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Oversee the management of transport staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Utilise Excel and other IT tools to analyse data and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards within the transport sector.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of transport functions within the overall business strategy.

Qualifications / Skills

• Experience working as a Transport Manager previously.
• Experience working within cold storage/ similar environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with office IT systems to support administrative tasks related to transport management.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
