Job description

As a Transport Manager based in Chesterfield you'll be responsible for:

• Managing a team of 7 transport planners and drivers, conducting reviews and 1:1s
• Helping to maintain and develop customer SLAs, working closely with the warehouse to ensure all dispatches and loads are accurate and correct
• Reviewing and improving the transport site
• Liaising with third party hauliers on a regular basis, developing and maintaining strong relationships with them
• Operating internally across multiple teams within the business
• Continuously improving the internal transport usage

Qualifications

• A manager's CPC is essential so you can run your own fleet of vehicles
• Proven experience running a multi-site fleet and managing third‑party contract haulage
• Experience using planning systems such as Master Naut and iStan
• A strong understanding of Microsoft packages, including Excel; you will be expected to run reports on Excel
