Job summary

Flogas Britain is looking for a Transport Manager to oversee vehicle-based operations from the Hallen Terminal as part of the Southwest Operational team. The role ensures LPG product flow, compliance, and safety, working with the Logistics team to manage inbound and outbound supply across the terminal.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will lead drivers on site, foster a safety culture, and drive efficiencies in a busy environment while supporting the company's transition toward

Qualifications

• Manager CPC qualification in Road Transport required.
• Experience in managing drivers is essential.
• Proven computer literacy and reliability are expected.

Responsibilities

• Effectively managing drivers at the site in line with laws and company policy.
• Support safe management within the Safety Management system and investigate actions.
• Ensure transport compliance: vehicle maintenance, drivers hours, tachograph rules, and WTD adherence.
• Follow Flogas procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain a professional, positive approach to team work.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

How you’ll power our business as a Transport Manager

Reporting to the Regional General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing vehicle-based operations out of the Hallen Terminal as part of the Southwest Operational team.

This role is pivotal in the assurance of LPG product at the Hallen Terminal. Working with our Logistics team acting as a key strategic supply point to the wider Flo gas estate and includes not only inbound assets bringing supply into the terminal but also is also involved in the onward movement of product down the supply chain.

Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing

• Effectively Managing drivers working at the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements.
• Supporting safe management accordance with the Safety Management system to meet compliance and driving a safety culture. To include conducting investigations and following up on any safety related actions.
• Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, driver’s hours and tachograph regulations in addition to working time directive regulations and ensure accurate and orderly records are kept, are up to date and available.
• Complying to Flogas operating procedures and works instructions.
• Professional and positive approach to drive effective team working.
• Experience of working in a high paced, dynamic environment

What we’ll need from you

• Manager CPC qualification in Road Transport
• Previous experience in the management of drivers
• Full driving licence.
• Flexible and willingness to work additional hours (including some weekend working)
• Ability to work in a team or on own initiative
• Professional and positive attitude
• Honest and trustworthy
• Must be computer literate
• Must have a positive attitude towards safety
