Job summary

The Education Authority in Omagh is seeking a GIS-focused ICT professional to support the Transport Division. You will design, develop and maintain Transport GIS projects, provide technical advice, and help run ArcGIS Online systems, data analysis and back-ups.

The role requires practical experience with spatial data, databases and ICT infrastructure, and a proactive approach to service delivery. Working within a busy division, you will collaborate with Transport Officers and external providers

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing GIS projects within a transport or planning environment.
• Ability to analyse spatial data and present findings to stakeholders.
• Experience maintaining GIS databases and GIS-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, development and implementation of Transport GIS projects.
• Analyse and present data using GIS methods for the Transport Division.
• Provide technical support on GIS systems to Transport Officers.
• Maintain ArcGIS Online user accounts and map viewer applications.
• Support operation and maintenance of Digital/ICT systems in Transport Division.
• Participate in research and development of spatial data systems.
