Pay Rate: £34,000 (Plus Night Shift Premium of £1,750 & Overtime paid at 1.25x basic rate)

Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off (18:00-06:00)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead and manage drivers. Provide day-to-day leadership, briefings, and support for DHL, agency, and subcontractor drivers, ensuring performance, compliance, and engagement.
  • Operational delivery. Oversee safe, legal, and efficient transport operations, adjusting plans as needed and resolving issues in real time to meet service levels.
  • Compliance & fleet standards. Ensure driver and fleet compliance, including pre-shift checks, defect reporting, and legal standards in line with DHL Asset Management protocols.
  • People & performance management. Manage absence, conduct 1-2-1s, support recruitment, and drive performance through training, development, and disciplinary processes.
  • Continuous improvement & cost control. Use TMS effectively, monitor cost trends (e.g. fuel, accidents), support projects, and promote a culture of improvement and best practice sharing.
