Transport Coordinator

Location: Telford

Temporary to permanent. Salary £12.21 per hour (up to £32,000 per annum). Monday-Friday, 8am – 6pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, highly successful company based in Telford on a temporary to permanent basis. The position is based in the transport department working as part of a small friendly team and reports directly to the Company Director. The main purpose of the role is to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting company expectations and supporting the day-to-day running of the logistics operation.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor vehicle movements using a tracking system.
  • Ensure all drivers arrived on time and vehicles are on route.
  • Monitor any delays, e.g. motorway closures, mechanical faults.
  • Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to report and resolve delivery or collection issues.
  • Keep the Transport Management System updated, adding correct details to enable KPI’s to be completed.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Plan any “Same day” deliveries that may be required using the appropriate resources available.
Skills and Experience
