Location: Newark, NG24 2NH

Pay Rate: £12.67 days, up to £16.47 nights

Shift Pattern: 6:00-6:00 days or nights

About The Role

Join our busy Transport Team supporting the GXO Currys operation helping to keep one of the UKs largest delivery networks running smoothly.

As a Transport Coordinator, you’ll handle all aspects of transport administration, driver support, and compliance. You’ll be the key link between drivers, planners, warehouse teams, and customers – ensuring everything runs on time, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Handle daily transport office administration and paperwork.
  • Record and monitor driver hours in line with WTD and tachograph legislation.
  • Support with Paragon route execution and data capture for KPIs.
  • Pre-brief and debrief drivers, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Download and manage tachograph data at the start and end of each shift.
  • Deal with day-to-day driver, customer, and internal department queries.
  • Liaise with warehouse and planning teams to manage load availability and routes.
  • Report and log vehicle defects using Axscend and ensure timely repairs.
  • Coordinate with vehicle maintenance providers and compliance departments.
  • Manage driver cards, fuel cards, keys, and issue all relevant documentation.
  • Ensure operational reports are completed and submitted on time.
  • Support compliance, servicing, and safety processes (including QSHE).
  • Assist with KPI reporting and escalate issues where required.
  • Participate in GXO training and development programmes.
  • Carry out any other duties as required by management.
Knowledge
  • Understanding of Tachograph compliance, WTD, and transport legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Confident working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar transport administration or logistics role desirable.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, fast-moving operational environment.
  • Knowledge of transport systems such as Paragon or Axscend advantageous.

Qualifications
