Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with ad hoc tasks.
  • Handle incoming calls from hauliers and other departments.
  • Perform general office administration (letter/report writing, photocopying, filing, etc.).
  • Plan daily transport for Birmingham site's retail and wholesale customers.
  • Publish provisional transport plans (Day 1 for Day 2 deliveries).
  • Monitor delivery schedules for timely execution.
  • Consolidate and publish call overs for 3PL and West Midlands sites.
  • Track stock collection and whole birds schedules.
  • Report daily distribution costs to senior management using Excel and Navision.
  • Ensure on-time delivery for retail customers.
  • Obtain proof of delivery and investigate claims/debits.
  • Follow up on invoice discrepancies.
  • Provide support to other roles in the department as needed.

Qualifications

The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm. Flexibility is required to cover holidays. Due to required training, the working hours will be from 12 pm to 8 pm during the first month. The rate of pay is: £13.52.
