Job description
Role: Transport Coordinator

Salary / Rate: £38,000 - £42,000
Location: Near Daventry
Opportunity: Temp-perm

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily vehicle movements, including deliveries, collections, and inter‑site part movements
  • Liaise with drivers, vehicle movement companies, and internal departments
  • Track vehicle movements and communicate delivery progress or delays to stakeholders
  • Assist with route planning to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, mileage, fuel usage, and condition reports
  • Process delivery notes, vehicle handover documentation, and proof of delivery
  • Update transport and fleet management systems with accurate data
  • Prepare reports relating to vehicle movements, costs, and transport performance
  • Support compliance with UK transport legislation, including DVSA and DVLA requirements
  • Maintain fleet compliance records including MOTs, servicing, tax, insurance, and inspections
  • Assist with monitoring driver licences, CPC records, and working hours for in‑house drivers
  • Support accident, damage, and incident reporting procedures
  • Provide administrative support to the Transport Manager and wider operations team
Requirements
  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within automotive, transport, or logistics environments
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience within automotive logistics, vehicle movements, or fleet administration is desirable
  • Knowledge of UK transport regulations and vehicle compliance is advantageous
  • Experience using transport or fleet management systems is beneficial
Hours & Pay

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:15
Friday: 07:00-15:30
Duration: This is a temporary position for 6 months, made into a permanent position after.
