Job description

Job Title: Transport Co‑Ordinator

Reports To: Transport Manager

Depot: LWC Aylesbury

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a transport assistant to join LWC drinks Aylesbury. We are looking for candidates that have strong communication skills, as this role is very people orientated. Along with good organisational skills, you will ideally hold a current CPC qualification. You will be the first point of contact for all driver related issues, responsible for maintenance schedules, downloading driver schedules on their return to depot at the end of the day and de‑briefing drivers.

To implement transport plans acting as the primary point of interaction between the Traffic Office and the Drivers, Shunters, Loaders and Warehouse.

Main Duties
  • Pre & De‑briefing drivers to a high standard ensure all correct paperwork & information is captured. Ensuring accuracy at all time.
  • Following up any issues that arise from the delivery Teams- missing stock, failed deliveries, Investigating Accidents (Personal & Vehicle)
  • Data capture on various internal documents- PCNs, Vision, Fleetsmart, My Mobile Worker etc..
  • Plan and control vehicle movements highlight any issues to Operations Manager / Warehouse team.
  • Vehicle maintenance and servicing administration as required. Booking in Vehicle collections/deliveries.
  • Arranging Vehicle Repairs as required to ensure Roadworthiness
  • Cover all traffic administration tasks as required.
  • Planning Driver training CPC
  • Offer the highest level of customer service, both internal and external.
  • Managing and liaising with drivers to meet the customers expectations.
  • Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
Knowledge And Experience

Accuracy of vehicle Pre Use checking (Gate Checks)

Driver Management (Vision) Missing Data, Infringements, Licence checks

Missing Mileage- Investigating / allocating

Accuracy of Pre & De‑brief on a daily basis

Ensuring Vehicle files are legal and complaint

Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast‑paced environment.

Flexible, adaptable, and pro‑active attitude.

Friendly, down to earth disposition.

Accurate and methodical.
