Job summary

Cargo Movers Logistics Limited is seeking a Transport and Warehouse Manager to lead daily transport operations and warehouse activities at our site near Bury St Edmunds. You will plan routes, allocate vehicles and drivers, monitor schedules, and resolve issues to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

The role also oversees goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, maintains stock accuracy and safety standards, manages rotas, coordinates with customers and suppliers,

Qualifications

• Experience in transport management including planning routes and fleet coordination.
• Practical warehouse operations knowledge: receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Strong leadership and people management to motivate teams and manage rotas.
• Organizational skills with ability to multitask under time pressure.
• Proficiency with logistics or warehouse systems and standard office software.
• Good written and verbal communication with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in transport/warehousing.
• Experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain management; supervisory experience preferred.
• Relevant vocational training in logistics; driving license is advantageous.

Role Description The Transport and Warehouse Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based near Bury St Edmunds. Daily responsibilities include managing staff rotas, coordinating with customers and suppliers, maintaining equipment and facility standards, and updating systems and records. The role involves monitoring performance metrics, identifying process improvements, enforcing health and safety practices, and supporting training and development of the warehouse and transport team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in transport management, including route planning, fleet coordination, and driver supervision.
• Practical experience in warehouse operations, including inventory control, goods handling, and dispatch processes.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage rotas, and address performance issues.
• Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.
• Comfort with using logistics or warehouse management systems and standard office software for reporting and communication.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in transport and warehousing environments.
• Previous experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management; supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
