A leading logistics organisation in the Dover area seeks a Transport and Warehouse Coordinator for a full-time on-site role. You will be responsible for liaising with the Operations Team and HGV Drivers, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring timely maintenance of the fleet. Job description

We are working with a leading logistics organisation in the Dover area, who are seeking a Transport and Warehouse Coordinator, permanently.

This is an on-site role working full time - 08:00am to 18:00pm Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays 08:00am to 16:00pm (in place of Mondays).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Operations Team and communicate effectively with HGV Drivers.
  • Assist with the preparation of Driver timesheets and expenses.
  • Prepare Tachograph reports and assist the Transport Manager with driver sign off.
  • Review vehicle inspection sheets for damage.
  • Daily interaction with our Workshop, monitoring repairs, ensuring vehicles are presented in good time for maintenance inspection and reporting defects.
  • Deputising for the Transport or Site manager.
  • Preparing and distributing a daily trailer location report.
  • Collating and distributing customs documentation for our drivers.
  • Managing freight into and out of our warehouse.
  • Preparing and distributing a daily summary spreadsheet of freight in the warehouse.
  • Inspect our fleet of trucks inside and prepare detailed reports illustrating damage or mechanical issues (this function is performed on a Saturday only).
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a Transport/Logistics company.
  • A Forklift licence may also be an advantage (training available for the right candidate).
  • IT literate with strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • A professional, positive and helpful attitude.
  • Ambitious with a desire to succeed.
  • Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic.
